Get ready to gussy up and giddy up on down to the first ever Gallopina’s Golden Rodeo & Exhibition!
Georgia Tooke has created a whole new cast of characters to bring you humorous and wholesome fun from farm life into a gallery setting. The central work in this exhibition will be the rodeo video piece - hosted by the twin Gallopina sisters, you’ll enjoy a song from this year’s Miss Golden Rodeo queen, a dance from fan-favourite clown: Sunny Yolkin’, as well as multiple stampede events. During the weekend of March 4-6th, there will be immersive and interactive elements such as fairground snacks, contests, and prizes. So dust off your finest cowfolk boots and hat, and get ready for the rodeo!
Meet the Characters of the Rodeo
Cantress is the other half the Gallopina sister duo that is running the Gallopina’s Golden Rodeo & Exhibition! While being raised on a farm like her twin sister, Cantress wanted nothing more than to be a glamorous city girl. So shortly after high school, she moved to the next town over to start working in fashion (retail at the Blouse Barn). While country life may not be for her, she loves an occasion to get dressed up so you can find her MC’ing the rodeo with Lopella.
Lopella is half the Gallopina sister duo that are running the Gallopina’s Golden Rodeo & Exhibition! Born and raised on a farm, Lopella stuck to her roots and carried on her parents chicken farming legacy. She’s an all around rough n tumble gal who can beat anyone in an arm wrestle and, after losing a bet at the local dive bar, can now say she’s been bucked a bull at least once.
Miss Golden Rodeo 2022: Clarabell Jenkins!! It’s been Clarabell’s dream to be crowned Rodeo Queen ever since she was a lil cowgirl. She’s your favourite small town, lemonade-loving, ray of sunshine. When she’s not riding her horse, Cricket, she’s babysitting, volunteering at the old folks home or dancing.
